Pink October : a month of solidarity at Cofidis Group

COMMITMENTS

Throughout October, our teams across Europe were particularly mobilized to support women affected by this cancer. Together, we have joined forces to increase awareness, raise funds and provide support to those who need it.

A sporting kick-off

Kick-off in France on Sunday, September 29 with the mobilization of more than 100 employees of Cofidis France, Creatis, Monabanq and Synergie, who took part in a solidarity run and walk (5 or 10 km) around the Citadelle of Lille.

This is the flagship event that kicked off this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The objective ? Walk, run “in pink” to raise funds for the association Ruban Rose while enjoying a friendly sporting activity.

Initiatives in France

In France, our employees multiplied initiatives throughout October, and were made aware of prevention and screening :

🎗️ Pink hats workshops : more than 260 hats made during the sewing workshops to offer some support and comfort to women with cancer.

🎗️ Screening awareness workshops with la Ligue contre le cancer for the 3rd consecutive year.

🎗️ Committed recruitment : more than 70 recommendations by the collaborators who helped to raise 700 € for the association Coaching Suspendu.

🎗️Fundraising for the fight against breast cancer.

🎗️ Screening campaign : our employees have 2 hours in their working time to get screened.

International initiatives

Cofidis Spain has partnered with the Wall Trade Center ALMEDA PARK to raise funds for the Spanish  Association Against Cancer. A group of volunteers rallied to raise awareness among the entire team and encourage them to collaborate:

  • With a solidarity piggy bank where everyone could contribute.
  • By buying a solidarity cake, the entire amount of which was donated to the association.

Cofidis Italy has strengthened its partnership with the Italian League Against Tumors (LILT) on prevention activities throughout the year. For example, breast cancer prevention visits were organized directly in the company. “Thanks to the participation of a LILT doctor, we organized an afternoon of breast exams that allowed our employees to take care of their health directly in their workplace,  free of charge.”

Thanks to all our employees and volunteers who have worked so passionately to support this cause, which affects more than 2 millions women worldwide. Together, we continue to act for a more united and committed future.
