EDEW 2024 : all committed to inclusion !
COMMITMENTS
From 18 to 22 November, Cofidis Group reaffirmed its commitment to guaranteeing equal opportunities and an environment that is accessible and open to all during the European Disability Employment Week.
An inspiring conference and concrete actions for a more inclusive society
This year, we had the pleasure of launching the EDEW with Cofidis Portugal‘s participation at the 1st national DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) summit, held on 18 and 19 November in Lisbon by the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI).
Laurence Facon, Director of Sustainable Development at Cofidis Portugal, spoke at the round table ‘Social Impact and DEI : Critical Dimensions of Sustainability’ to explore how social impact and diversity in the workplace are essential drivers of sustainable development.
The conference covered fundamental topics such as :
– The importance of integrating the social dimension into sustainability
– The contribution of social impact projects to accelerating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
– The role of collaboration between the social, private and public sectors in building a more inclusive future.
It was an inspiring moment, perfectly in line with our commitment to align sustainability, inclusion and social impact.
Our Portuguese subsidiary also welcomed Mafalda Ribeiro in its offices for an inspiring conference on the inclusion of people with disabilities. Committed author and speaker, Mafalda lives with a rare disease, osteogenesis imperfecta. Her unique story is a lesson in resilience and strength in the face of everyday challenges.
With a life marked by surpassing oneself, she underlined the importance of transforming environments and mentalities.
From playful to educational to raise awareness
In France, many actions have been carried out with our entities Creatis, Cofidis France, Monabanq and Synergie.
Among these initiatives, the Handi’Haut’Lympics gave our teams the opportunity to share great moments with disabled participants during this sporting challenge in the MEL. In partnership with AGEFIPH and Ferme aux Bois, we also presented the Handipoursuite game to help people understand the realities of disability.
We have also introduced the “Fresque du Handicap”, a new awareness tool to deepen knowledge of disability at work. The Duoday program allowed young people with disabilities to interact with our teams, to discover our trades and our disability friendly environment. Finally, a conference on the recognition as a disabled worker was organized to explain its benefits and procedures.

Today, within our group in France, more than 160 employees are concerned by disability !
